I assisted in a professional piano teaching studio and taught skills such as music theory, scales, technique, expression and more.

Assistant Teacher

I instruct students ranging from early school age to adult to play the violin and viola. Lessons include performance skills, music theory, technique, ear-training, improvisation and more.

Violin teacher

I was editor for a weekly newspaper with a circulation of more than 15,000. My duties included grammar checking, content oversight and coaching, writing and reporting and web content creation.

Students must be five years old or older or must able to read English. Instruction will vary based on each student's goals, but usually includes technique, note reading, music theory, improvisation skills and performance opportunities.

My life is all about beauty and expression.I teach writing, violin and viola and seek students from around the globe, and I can help you not only perform to your best ability but also teach you to love it. I am college-educated and good with students from ages 5 and up.

My daughter enjoys her lessons very much.  She is looking forward to the next session

Rebecca teaches with the Suzuki method. She accommodates my previous experience with music, filling in some gaps and skipping over what I know. She also accommodates other needs: I take a lot of notes, slowly, and she waits while I finish.

In person lessons are the dream, but Rebecca works around the limitations of the internet beautifully. Her instructions are sometimes a direct how-to, other times about exploring by myself as I practice.

Finally, it's clear she loves the instrument. Now viola lessons and practice are the highlight of my day!
