I'm a professional artist with a passion for teaching. I have experience teaching art to kids grades K-6 in both public and private schools. I love teaching adults of all ages and abilities and I am passionate about inspiring others to open up to the evolution of the creative process.
My art education has consisted of a lifetime of self study and formal art training. My training has been versatile, as I am an artist with multiple interests, but my main focus is on oil painting-both plein air painting and studio illustration work. I am attracted to beautiful colors and the play of light and shadow. My goal in each piece is to present a world that the viewer will yearn to enter. The process of finding a sight in nature or hearing a story that moves me, or of having an incredible dream or vision, and then step by step, making that come alive on the canvas....this is my biggest passion in my work.
It is thrilling to me when I can share this passion with my students and inspire others to create by teaching them the skills they need, while at the same time offering praise and support. I believe that everything I learn in my quest for beautiful art should be passed on to others, and I believe that each of my students has a unique inner vision and wisdom that also educates and inspires me.

Best teacher ever. My son had a major growth and awareness of everything he understood about himself. It even lasted untill his wedding where he could lead without any instruction since
She brought warmth and comfort to a group of people... And then she instructed and encourage each person to draw. Her atmosphere is amazing and she provided all materials and paints and ink and paper for free. I would say she is on my list of people who inspired my life. Thank you forever Rebecca+ Read More
