I love teaching science because I absolutely love science, especially biology. I think it's the coolest thing ever, and if you asked my students they would say my enthusiasm is contagious! I try to make learning it fun by engaging a student's natural curiosity. Science is all around us, and I teach by relating abstract concepts to things we can experience every day. I will work with you (or your child) in your own learning style to help you reach your maximum potential. I have tutored students at the high school, college, and graduate levels. As a high school biology teacher and a biological research scientist I have both a broad and deep understanding of science content and process as well as teaching training. It is one thing to understand, but an entirely different thing to be able to make someone else understand, and I am able to do both.

Rebecca is a very knowledgeable teacher. I took a lesson with her, and I found that she knows how to deal with students and deliver a useful message. Thank you Rebecca for your help, and looking forward to taking another lessons with you.

Rebecca is a very knowledgeable and organized teacher. Her lessons are always very well planned out and offers a lot of supporting material to help with absorption of each topic. Rebecca has become my daughter's favorite tutor and we will look to again use her first if the need should arise in any subject. Rebecca also was very good at answering any questions that I, as a parent, had and keeping in contact with me related to my daughter's progress. My 15 year old daughter was not very interested in Biology before she started with Rebecca. However, it is now one of her favorite subjects.

Rebecca is extremely good at working one on one with students. She is very educated about biology and is devoted to making sure any student she works with is taken care of and prepared for success. She loves the subject and her enthusiasm for it makes learning the subject much more interesting. When I worked with her she was very prepared and was very flexible with her schedule.
