I'm an artist and teacher. My main mediums are oil paint, cut paper, and fiber arts. When I graduated from Pratt in 2003 I received my BFA in Illustration and Art Education. After that I went on to grad school for elementary education. The perfect combination for helping people find themselves as artists while working on my own art. After teaching in urban and suburban schools in CT, NY and Washington DC I moved to Germany where I taught English as a Native Speaker for three years. That's where I became fluent in German, learned a lot about myself, and worked on my cut paper bird series. Over the years my students have grown tremendously. They have become creative thinkers and individuals. It brings me great pleasure to see them as they reach their goals and exceed expectations. Especially when it comes to students who I have helped to discover what type of learner they are so that they could finally reach their full potential. Once a person learns how to learn there is no stopping them. I intend to continue working hard to help people reach their full potential. When you become my student you will have my full attention. I will give you the tools to reach your goals whether it's painting something you are proud of, having a conversation in German, or knitting a sweater.
