Singing with Rashida H.

I am a Musician, Song Writer and Board Certified Music Therapist originally from Detroit, Michigan.. I have been teaching voice for ten years, guitar and ukulele for five years. I have a Bachelor's in performance with a concentration in voice and a Master's in Music Therapy from Illinois State University where I also taught voice. I have been singing professionally including local and international performances since 2006. I was featured regularly as a soloist with several traveling organizations and continue to work with others to improve their vocal techniques. I believe that integrating great breathing techniques and proper vocal placement are the best way to succeed in any genre. My technique also emphasizes healthy singing using the entire body. My techniques work well in person and can be easily adapted for on line lessons. Either way, I want you to be able to shine inside and outside of lesson times. I am most comfortable with Classical voice, Jazz, Indie, Musicals, Blues, R&B, and popular styles but I have taught and performed in many more genres of music.
