I have been tutoring students since I was an undergrad back in Spain. While doing so, I realised there are very few better feelings besides the satisfaction of being a part of the improvement of your student's skills and knowledge.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in philology, so I have a deep knowledge on how languages construct themselves and work. Besides, I have a Master's degree in Literary Studies and am currently a PhD student in Literary Studies. But most importantly, I was born in Madrid (Spain) and lived there for over twenty years, so you'll get to learn Spanish and its culture from a truly Madrilenian!
My tutoring approach is based mostly on theory and practice, with a lot of perseverance! I usually like to teach some aspect of the language and then make the student approach it in a practical way. Lessons can be tailored to meet the student's specific needs, though! Each student is different from the rest, and therefore learns in an individual way and at an individual pace. Personal tutoring will always be provided to ensure you're always getting what you need: grammar, vocabulary, fluency, accent...
· Spanish · In studio Raquel is a very meticulous and gifted teacher. She was well prepared from the very first lesson and she always made sure her explanations were clear before moving on. She helped dispel many doubts I carried along in my mind for a long time in Spanish grammar. The classes are fun, friendly, and are aimed at the serious-minded student. Highly recommended.
