Raphael is a fantastic instructor who provides informative, effective, and highly enjoyable lessons. He's a master of languages, which means that he is able to easily and comprehensibly explain even complex language functions, and provide interesting facts and explanations about the origins of words and grammatical features, and the links between different languages, drawing on his wealth of knowledge. Most importantly, the lessons are incredibly engaging, and Raphael ensures that the way in which you go through the material and learn is matched to your ability, whilst teaching you practical use of the language. I was initially somewhat apprehensive about learning languages online, and about the somewhat different "immersion" approach suggested by Raphael, but after a little while now I can say that with Raphael as my teacher, it has been far more effective in a shorter period than any extended period of university study or self-directed study has been for me before!
