I'm a pianist-singer specialized in Western Art, jazz, and musical theatre idioms and I teach lessons in all classical and contemporary styles. I was conservatory-trained at Shenandoah University where I earned dual BM's in Performance and Jazz Studies, one of only a handful in its history to do so. All my life I've been performing, producing, teaching, and coaching all over the SoCal (CA) and DMV area (DC, MD, & VA).

Randy did an excellent job. Very patient and knowledgeable regarding the subject matter.

Randy is a great singing tutor. He’s patient, flexible and encouraging. My son is a little reserved boy and not comfortable at expressing his feelings, and Randy helped him reading through every phrases before the singing. That was very helpful. Thank you Randy!

Very knowledgeable and patient. Broke down challenging concepts and problems in very understandable terms. Saved me hours a week of having to read my child’s textbook and watch YouTube to teach my child what he wasn’t understanding from his middle school teacher.

In addition to being one of the most educated, well-versed, and talented teachers I have come across in my 2 decades of performing, his passion for music and all that is art is extremely evident. He instills a faith in his students and co-performers that lets you know he believes in you and your potential, and ensures his dedication in assisting you to learn, grow, and bloom both musically and artistically.

I have had Randy as my instructor for over a year and he has helped me develop my singing skills to a level I didn’t think was possible. Even after the first few weeks of class, I noticed a difference in my singing. Randy is extremely knowledgeable and does a wonderful job of teaching. He does well with explaining techniques and makes things easily understandable. He is also very kind, talented and professional. I will always be grateful to Randy because he is helping me to be a singer that I always dreamt of being!

Randy has helped me accomplish my goals. He is an excellent teacher and mentor. He helped me believe in myself by believing in me as well. I highly recommend him!!!!

Interesting and funny classes

Was a good 1st lesson

Firs lesson.
the kids loved it and we plan to work with Randy moving forward.

Excellent teacher. I've studied jazz guitar, classical guitar, and voice in the past- he is building my confidence in my higher register- enthusiastic, disciplined and
hard working. You will progress with this teacher!

I'm having a fantastic experience with Randy. I am a lifelong musician- have studied Jazz guitar, classical guitar and voice- he's a great voice teacher- very positive, and I feel I am progressing with him- I am more confident in my upper register, and he's helping to claim my singing voice!

Mr. MC is an excellent instructor. He always takes into account students' background and interests in order to develop meaningful lessons. He explains and presents new music material clearly, and always models in order to facilitate learning. He also monitors progress continuously and provides feedback on students' performance. One of the best instructors I have had the pleasure to work with.
