I started playing at 9 years old in a public school band and jazz band on alto sax and guitar. Since then, I've received private lessons and studied at the Denver Guitar Institute. I've played in several bands and specialize in several styles and techniques including jazz, blues improvisation, solo technique, ear training and composition.
*** Lesson Details ***
I am laid back & structured, and will inspire "awe" while you're developing your new talent! I customize lessons to the individual's true interests and what they want to play.
My students can expect to be learning songs, how to play with others, fundamentals of music theory as well as many other things.
Within 3 to 6 months my students will have a working knowledge of their instrument, and the confidence to make music for themselves and their friends and family!! Students will also learn to grow as an artist.
We'll work on:
-- Tuning and caring for your instrument
-- How to read and understand music notation
-- Scale patterns, modes and so forth
I can teach beginning to intermediate guitar, and up to a professional level on electric bass, upright bass and electric/acoustic bass. I can teach the student to empower themselves, where to find their resources, how to ENJOY music, have fun playing music and have a positive life long experience.
I'm here to answer all of your questions and help you "rock it" to the next level!!
