Moving Mountains Inc, is a performance arts program for youth founded by Jamie Hector, known for his roles in The Wire, Bosch and Queen of the South. Instruct 3 music classes ages 10 - 22. Provide vocal coaching, music theory instruction. Provide multimedia and sound reinforcement services for live performances. Direct & conduct music for live performances. Compose original music for the original plays “Enough” and “Maya’s Possibilities” written by Jamie Hector and Allaine Roberson.

First Live

Utilized mobile and in house setups to engineer (A1) record, mix and live stream video & audio at various venues in NYC including: Arlene’s Grocery, Knitting Factory, NYU, Columbia University, French Embassy, Hilton Hotel, Sonos Studio, Noblu. Recorded, mixed, edited, audio using the Behringer X32 & Presonus Studio Live digital mixing consoles. Mastered the audio of live performances Edited videos in postproduction Operated multiple HD cameras; switched camera angles live and controlled each camera’s movement with the Sony Remote control unit RM-BR300 at Knitting Factory. Switched and captured live camera feeds using the Panasonic Multi-Format Live Switcher AV-HS300 & Black Magic Design’s ATEM Television Studio Switcher with built in H.264 encoder. Produced and delivered video & audio of client’s performances.

Gigantic Post

Assisted Emmy Award winning audio engineer, Tom Paul, with audio postproduction by providing the following services to film industry clients: sound recording (Foley, ADR, voiceover), advanced sound editing (including dialogue editing, cleaning) mixing, sound design and mastering. Mixed audio on a 32 fader Icon D-Control with a scalable array of Pro Tools HD systems for up to 768 tracks. Utilized an extensive collection of plug-ins and hardware tools for mixing and dialogue cleaning Incorporated hard sound effects and background sound Exported final audio mix as a 48k @ 24 bit audio file and delivered the film with synced audio mix to clients via FTP

Assisted multi-Grammy award winning producer and film composer Stuart Matthewman of Sade. Duties included: Audio Engineering: assisted with studio session set-ups, microphone positioning and set-up, instrument tunings, signal and patch bay connections, operation of analog and digital mixing consoles, operation of digital audio workstations and outboard gear, stage set-ups & worked with front of house engineers for artists’ performances. Production: assisted with MIDI programming/sequencing and arrangement, analog synthesis design (modular synthesis), instrument multi-sampling, score writing, editing, transcription and keyboard performances. Administrative: liaised with artists, entertainment lawyers and partners in the music and film industries.
