“Make the most of yourself for that is all there is of you.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson I want to tap into that part of you that is on the prowl to answer the “ how’s and why’s”. That is where our journey will unfold. I aspire to nurture a creative and inclusive culture in my sessions. I don't teach. I LEARN! Learning is an infinitely satiating experience for me. We will laugh, ponder, explore and even pull our hair out from frustration. That's okay because we'll do it all together. Making mistakes is a beautiful test of your resilience and will help to solidify your competencies from your hands-on experiences. Visualizing your goals as a whole is the basis of my teaching approach. I implore my resources to reconcile the challenges of online learning to foster communication, inclusion, and interaction online. I aspire to forge a rapport that grants your trust and belief in your ability to express your ideas. It is always a bit sad to say goodbye to students, but them walking away with strong foundations, developed skill sets and the ability to expand on them in the future is what I support. I’ve logged 1,000 hours online in 1-on-1 group sessions with a 9.65 average rating. For my consistency, I was selected to teach the Oxford University Press Children Series. Being inspired by and delighting in shared experiences with my students ignites my addiction to teaching. I’ve seized volunteer opportunities as a Teaching Assistant with after-school, summer and other teaching programs. I’m a big believer in being proactive. In addition, 8 years in Home Health with adults and children with physical and mental disabilities has had an overwhelming influence on my philosophies toward communication and personal kinships. Music is an immense passion of mine that continually lavishes me with a wealth of transferable skills to explore creative solutions. I’ve done this by appropriating IPA, vocal pedagogy and my opera background to tackle diction issues. Working with Music and Drama Therapists in Barrier Free Theater acting troupe for adults with physical and mental disabilities to brainstorm and stage a musical starring them, has given me insight into the benefits of group collaboration and preparedness. This is at the heart of my communicative approaches. What to expect? *Creative, Immersive, Comprehensive experience *Customized Vocabulary Journal, Resource Portfolio Why? I took lessons with Rahny last year. She helped me to refine my essay writing skills. I had never written an essay before. I’d never had a portfolio before either, but it has come in handy in more ways than I ever could’ve imagined. I’ve referenced the materials on vocabulary, pronunciation and essay writing exercises a dozen times. She still takes the time to answer some of my questions.

Thanks for all your patience even though I was running late. I was all ready to cancel my lesson, but you encouraged me to keep my goals in mind and keep moving forward. I loved that you adjusted the material accordingly and worked through the homework together with me. I look forward to our next session. :)

Rahny is very interesting in her approach. It is great how she goes about sharing ideas, extending the discussion and engaging with me and the content. She brings so much liveliness to the class. The texts are very good, practical and related directly to my goals of wanting better communication with my colleagues.
