I have worked as a self-employed piano instructor for over 25 years.

Raginae has been teaching piano for nearly 25 years with a Masters of Piano Pedagogy from New England Conservatory of Music.  She truly has a gift for keeping the learning process fun and interesting by incorporating many different methods and involving the student in the music choice. Her goal is a well-rounded student with theory, technique, and  composition while preserving the joy of playing the piano. Compassion, patience,  and persistence are is her motto for teaching.

Raginae was drawn to the magic of the piano at the age of five which took her on a journey of studying at an undergraduate level at age 16 and ultimately receiving a Masters of Pedagogy at New England Conservatory of Music. Through personal tragedies and triumphs she developed heartfelt compassion and patience for her students.  She utilizes many different methods and involves the student in music choice to keep the lessons fun and interesting. With vast amounts of music written, she believes that finding music that excites the student is key to their success.

My experience with Raginae includes a summer of having my 2 grandchildren study their first lessons with her and they loved her and her approach.  Unfortunately, on their return home their teacher was not of the same high quality.  

I am an older student with minimal coordination and have progressed far further than I ever dreamed possible as I started from scratch at age 72.  One of the factors in my continued progress is that Raginae can always find something I have done which can be addressed in a constructive manner rather than a critical, withering manner.  I have come to class at times thinking what is the use, I can never get anywhere with this and by the time I go home I will have a more positive outlook and clear goals within my abilities.  Consequently,  my next lesson will be rewarding.  

As I have lived a very long time I also like to meander through all kinds of music and odd musical questions arise.  Raginae deals with them seamlessly.  I recommend her very highly.
