Hello! My name is Rae. I specialize in helping my students their voices in the most healthy and effective way. No matter if you are a brand new singer, or have been singing for years, I will pay special attention to your unique voice. Every person's vocal production is different, but we all have something truly worth while to bring forth and give to others. 
I have a bachelor's degree in classical singing, and have years of background in Musical theater and worship music. 
I have over 6 years of teaching experience giving private lessons and nearly 5 years of teaching Performing Arts at a private school. I have taught all ages, from preschool to adult. I understand how the voice works from Vocal Pedagogy class in college and working with countless students of all ages. The voice is an inherent instinct that I have always been drawn to, but of course it is also my area of deep study.
What genre are you interested in singing? All genres require using your voice in a healthy way. Forming a grounded foundation in singing should always be your first step, and that is what I'm here to help you with! Hopefully, you'll have as much fun as I do! 
We'll start out with breathing warm ups, focusing on the foundation of singing, then do some vocalizations with piano scales to warm up your vocal folds, and then we will move to the song of your choice to work on your voice.  Working on getting your voice to it's optimal sound, correct notes, and putting the best emotions with the song.

Hello! I'm Rae and I'm so excited to help you reach your singing goals. I have years of experience teaching - from very young children, all the way up to adults. I have a bachelors degree in singing and have taught both private lessons and classrooms full of students. No matter where you are on your singing journey, I will pay close attention to your unique voice and how to help you use it in a healthy, effective and beautiful way. And it's going to be a lot of fun!

I first had Mrs. White as a drama teacher, she inspired me to go after my dream of participating in my school’s musicals. I hadn’t done musicals before because I was nervous to sing in front of people, but thanks to her guidance and encouragement I tried out for my first school musical and realized how much I enjoyed performing. Mrs. White is very kind and patient, she always encouraged me, helped me to overcome my fear of singing in front of others, and helped me to improve my overall voice. I highly recommend Mrs. White if you are looking for a kind and encouraging vocal teacher.

Mrs. White is a great teacher! My boys (ages 8 and 10 at the time of their lessons) loved taking voice and acting with her when she lived in California.
