Bluegrass Guitar with Rachelle C.

Rachelle Coba holds B.M. degree from the University of Miami, Florida in Classical Guitar. While studying, Rachelle chose to lend her facility with finger-style picking to the blues. This has led her to develop her own, unique approach to guitar lead and rhythm playing. She has been teaching all styles for 25+ years and is ready to take on students in the Fort Lauderdale area. Rachelle is a full time musician and performer. Here are a few excerpts from her teaching resume: She taught for the last three years of Wichita’s renowned music camp “Allegro” She was an instructor for the National Guitar Workshops “DayJams” camp in the Washington D.C. area. She developed a music and guitar education outreach program with the Wichita Public Schools. She was a resident teaching artist through the Wichita Public Schools “Arts Partners” Program. She started and facilitated a youth blues guitar workshop in the Wichita area open to the public. She raised awareness and funds to provide guitars for girls at Carpenter Place Children’s home in Wichita, KS. She developed and taught a creative guitar bi-weekly class for the girls at Carpenter Place. She developed her own guitar pedagogy method and booklet. She began classroom curriculum for guitars in Wichita Public Schools. She is recognized as a blues educator by the International Blues Foundation.
