I love performing and teaching! I've performed at multiple venues in New York City, including Carnegie Hall and Off-Broadway. I studied piano, opera performance and musical theater at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ and acting at Primary Stages. I'm playing a nurse this season on New Amsterdam and have many other film and TV credits! These qualifications, my positive spirit and belief in my students have yielded outstanding results in their musical and theatrical accomplishments. My teaching style is based off of my many years of being a student to some of the finest in the musicians and actors in the world. I am direct and focused, but like to keep my students relaxed. My key to teaching success is adapting to each student's specific needs. *** Specialties *** For Voice Students: Voice Technique and Breath work Classical Music (art songs, opera) Traditional Broadway (Rodgers and Hammerstein...) Rachel is absolutely wonderful! My daughter is 6 and has a speech delay. She's been taking lessons with Rachel for 3 months. At first she was very shy and wouldn't sing. Now she hums the exercises throughout the week in between lessons and asks when she will see Rachel. I would say one of Rachel's greatest gifts is meeting the student where they are and keeping the lesson fun & exciting!

Rachel is such a warm and encouraging teacher. My daughter who was mostly a shy girl was very comfortable with her from the first class itself. She has not only taught her many songs, but also encouraged her into love for singing, which is so valuable. My daughter can easily sing with confidence in a room full of people ! Her focus and singing has greatly improved. In fact this is our second time back with Rachel, we had to stop for some reason, now we are back again ! I would recommend Rachel to anyone !

Rachel is a great teacher. I loved how she interacted with my daughter. My daughter went from beginners to playing current songs on the piano. Rachel knew how draw out my daughters skills, challenging her, so that she can grow as a pianist. Rachel was always patient, and curious with her. I highly recommend her as an instructor.
