Overview

From about the age of 5, I can remember always running to my Grandmother's piano whenever we went to visit and being completely in awe of all it could do. At the age of 7, I began studying the viola. Always active in Chorus and Orchestra both in school and outside organizations, my love for music continued to deepen within me. I have been so fortunate over the years to have performed with so many talented musicians, and to have traveled to some wonderful places. My passion for music and for the artistry it demands, has lead me to the path of teaching. I love sharing my knowledge with those eager to learn. I hope to not only build one's joy for music and their musicianship, but to also instill a sense of confidence and pride in the work that they do.

My 11 yr. old son takes piano lessons with Ms. Rachel. Her lessons are engaging and productive. He enjoys the learning process and I am so happy to see him progressing so well. One of Rachel's main strengths is her ability to convey a given subject matter in a way that is meaningful, constructive and easily understood. Rachel's unparalleled enthusiasm for life and music shines through in her singing and teaching style. She shows a strong proficiency in many different styles. She's reliable, experienced, professional, and a great person all around.
