Japanese with Rachel T.

Hi! I'm Rachel. After graduating Lewis & Clark College with a Bachelors in Philosophy and Japanese Language, I was hired through the JET program to teach English in Japan. I just got home after 2 years in Miyagi Prefecture, and I'm excited to do more teaching! I have N3 level Japanese, so I am very comfortable tutoring any beginner or intermediate student. Many people believe that a native speaker will be a more knowledgeable resource for language learning. While there is a lot of merit to learning from natives, as a non-native Japanese speaker, I have a better ability to relate to the language learning process, which is equally (if not more) important. I know I will be able to explain grammar points and vocabulary in a clear, understandable way.
