I am experienced elementary school teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience in school. I have worked with children aged 4-11 across a range of subjects including reading, writing and maths as well as having the role of Special Educational Needs coordinator for 5 years. I have a wealth of experience working with children with specific and moderate learning difficulties as well as Autism and ADHD.
I am an incredibly patient person and enjoy helping others succeed in their learning. I have an excellent understanding of how children learn which means I am able to tailor lessons to individual needs and interests. I endeavor to ensure all learning is fun and enjoyable for the pupil as well as inspiring them to become independent learners.

Rachel is patient, full of enthusiasm. She paces the lesson for the need of her students. My daughter was so happy when it was piano lesson day. She made progress in a really short amount of time. Highly recommend.
My 11 year old son has attended tutoring classes for approx 2.5 years. Rachel has helped him with math, reading, spelling.
My son has grown in confidence so much over the last couple of years. I have noticed a real difference when he does his homework - he is far more willing to give things a go and his teachers have confirmed they have seen a real improvement.
Rachel gives feedback at the end of each session as to how he has got on and things he/we can do at home.
My son describes the sessions as fun, interesting and says Rachel helps everything make sense!
My 8 year old daughter has had piano lessons for the last two years and each week I am amazed at how much progress she makes.
Rachel is always so welcoming and my daughter always leaves her lessons with a big smile on her face!
I sit in on lessons when I can and it is evident Rachel has a real love for music. As Rachel is a qualified teacher, it is clear that she is very comfortable working with children and is very supportive and patient when tutoring.
Would definitely recommend!
Rachel helped both my sons with their school work - English and Maths. She was so patient with them, brought the subjects to life and made the lesson really fun. Would definitely recommend!
