I am so excited to meet you and see what you have to say through art. Art is a way of seeing and understanding the world. Learning the basic tools for understanding and creating art will enrich your life, regardless of who you are.
To tell you more about myself, in New England I majored in Visual Art with a focus in painting, minoring in English as well. In Alaska I was home schooled throughout grade school, immersing myself in art classes, voice lessons, and the classical texts. I have have taught all ages, and a wide variety of approaches to drawing, including comic art. A few things you will learn from looking at my portfolio are that I love impressionism, people, texture, layers, and explosions of color.
Guided arts and crafts and physical exercises with elderly and disabled assisted living residents
Designed a ten-craft program for campers ranging from ages eight to seventeen (soap making, wood carving, rock painting, etc.) at a three-month long summer camp
Produced a curriculum to teach an elementary student basic drawing skills and disciplines in comic art
Employed to prepare still lifes and give instructive feedback to students alongside the professor
Cared for nine elderly horses, maintained harmony between multiple horses and riders in classroom and arena
Prepared quizzes, graded exams, and guided classroom discussions as an advanced teaching assistant
Independently taught three Korean students of preschool-middle school for two months during the summer
