    Experience

    Private Math Tutor

    Jan, 2017 - Present

    Private Math Tutor

I was a private math tutor, advertising by word of mouth for students at Wayne State University. I created lesson plans to target areas that students struggled with, while also emphasizing their strengths so that they would not be discourage when trying to understand certain content. As a private tutor, I helped my students prepare for placements exams at the college level and for the PRE, which is a certification test that students in teacher education must pass before they start student teaching. I have references available upon request.

    Teaching Intern

    Jan, 2013 - May, 2013

    Norwalk High School

I was a teaching intern at Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Ca for a semester teaching Pre-Calculus and Calculus. I would work with students one-on-one after lessons, providing additional help and explanations. I would also teach lessons that my mentor teacher would provide, but personalize it with my own explanations and analogies.

    Pearson Education-- State of Michigan

The MTTC certification is the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification, which is the test one must pass before they can not only begin teaching and earn their degree, but must pass before even student teaching.
