I'm a songwriter, composer, and performer and studied voice through Rockschool in Belfast, as well as studying anatomy of the voice through Estill in Boston - and am familiar with Speech Level Singing. I taught voice and performance at the Sonic Arts Research Centre at Queens University Belfast before moving to San Francisco. There I taught in various voice studios, including with Robert Hunt Robinson Studios, the owner of which played the roll of Javert in Les Misérables on Broadway for over 7 years. I have performed extensively in the US, Ireland, the UK, and Europe and hold an honours degree in music from Mills College.
I am also a dancer, having also studied Alexander Technique. My students have appeared on multiple stages around the world, including on The Voice (Ireland). I teach beginners right through to professional singers and musicians. I love teaching online as I travel the world as a musician and dancer - don't hesitate get in touch and take part in this amazing journey with me!
Originally based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK, I worked with hundreds of student individually and in groups. I also did a lot of work with community groups, including youth from troubled zones of the city.
I provided instruction on voice technique, performance skills, band dynamics, and songwriting for a performance class based on jazz, rock, folk, and free improv styles.
