I am a professional opera singer and teacher currently working in the Chicago area. I have my Bachelor of Fine Arts (Voice) from Carnegie Mellon University and my Master of Music (Voice) from Roosevelt University (CCPA).
Our first lesson together will be exploratory. We will work together to establish goals and the steps needed to get there. I believe it is important to not only identify what needs work, but what your strengths are as well.
From there, we can work on sight reading, rhythm work, breath control, and other building blocks to create a solid vocal foundation. I am more than happy to help you learn songs that are brought in, but I will recommend some as well. While I do specialize in opera and classical, we can work on Musical Theatre, Jazz, Pop, Country, etc. Good technique is good technique no matter what the genre!
Need clarification? Do you have questions already? No problem! Send me a message or let's set up a phone call. I can't wait to meet you!

Rachel is so incredibly patient, yet persistent, with teaching our daughter proper technique. Our daughter has shown tremendous improvement after only a handful of lessons. Very happy with the progress!
