Lessons are efficient, focused, and tailored to your goals. What do you want to learn? What kind of player do you want to be? What styles do you listen to? We will take all this into account and make lessons as enjoyable and productive as possible, learning theory and the foundation of music while practicing and building skills with your favorite songs.

For younger students, they usually want to play guitar because it seems fun but they often quickly get discouraged because they feel they don't know enough to play the songs they enjoy. If this is the case, we'll focus on helping them understand basics they need to play one song at a time. They will have simple tools every week to help them play the song of their choice, and will be encouraged to bring in a new song they'd like to work on once finishing a previous one. For older students, we'll tackle goals by mastering one song at a time, practicing an array of skills and finding the player's unique style. Lessons are never taken too seriously. The priority is to enjoy the time, and have fun. I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals, whatever they are!

Hello! My name's Rachael- I'm 29 years old.  I'm a musician who started teaching guitar out of a passion for music. I've been playing for 18 years- electric and acoustic. Lessons are customized to your goals, and I have successfully taught over 200+ students to play the styles and music they love!  We'll combine music theory with songs you'd like to learn to get a comprehensive understanding of basic concepts, then building knowledge of more complex subjects and techniques. We'll get to know you as an individual, helping you develop as a player while finding your unique style.  Finding your individual strengths and weaknesses, we will emphasize your strengths and work on your weaknesses- so you can play the music you love with ease. I look forward to meeting you, and helping you reach and exceed your goals!

Rachel provided entry level lessons to my daughter and son in a virtual environment.  She’s an engaging instructor who does a great job of building lessons that fit the individual.

Rachel provided instruction to both my kids, ages 12 and 14.  She developed a great age appropriate relationship with both of them that helped keep them engaged.  We started with lessons in home before moving to virtual during COVID.  She was able to develop lessons tailored to each of their skill levels and learning paces.  I’m glad that Rachel was able to be a part of my kids’ musical growth.
