Dance with Quianna S.

Quianna is a Columbus native who began training at the early age of 7. During and after college, she worked the dance audition circuit, auditioning and successfully selected to open for heavy hitters like P. Diddy, Usher and Ludacris. She was then hired full-time to be a back-up dancer for R&B group Blackstreet, and toured with them for 8 months. Her wide swathes of experience in a myriad of dance forms have informed her teaching, and her technique is firmly rooted in the methods taught to her from a very early age. In addition to her current work with Thiossane, where she is a principal dancer and assistant to the director, she recently choreographed “Renaissance Magic” a musical celebrating the Harlem Renaissance’s 100th anniversary, written by Alexis Wilson and directed by Suzan Bradford Kounta and the Lincoln Theater Association. She is also a guest teacher for Ballet Met. She continues to teach Saturday morning classes to children ages 11-16yrs, she feels it is important to give back to those programs that has given to you.
