Hi, I'm working as an Associate Researcher at Mt. Sinai Hospital and love to teach. I love to each math, geometry, science, trigonometry, and algebra. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience. Since the past six years I've been working on high level research in the field of Neuroscience, Psychology, and Psychiatry. I did three years of research in Nicotine Addiction and three years of research in Schizophrenia. Through my last six years of research and work experience, I've had to take classes in different subjects to give me a better background to conduct my research. These subjects included math, geometry, trigonometry, neuroscience, chemistry, physics, biology, anatomy, etc. I've also taken my GRE and my GMAT, which have content specializing in math, English, and writing. I worked as a private tutor and as a research assistant in college. As a private tutor, I taught various subjects (the ones I took classes in mentioned above) and as a research assistant I was responsible for training the students to get specialized in handling hardcore research. In doing so, I had to explain the basic concepts of science and math to the students. I worked as a private tutor and as a research assistant for three years in college. So yes, I do have prior experience in teaching students. I love to teach students and help them to achieve their goals and their potential. I have my own unique way of teaching students. I love to be organized and love to explain the materials to the students in the simplistic manner possible. I generally request the student to provide me with the materials or the subject content which needs to be taught nearly one week in advance. I go over my notes, prepare power point slides and print out the slides for the student. When I meet up with the student, I go over the power point slides and make sure that if the students needs to add any additional notes that might come up during the lesson, then he/ she can write it down on the printouts which I hand out to the student. I generally start the lesson with a brief review of the previous lesson I taught him/ her (If he/ she had a previous lesson with me) and end the lesson with a small quiz with the subject matter I went over during the lesson. This complete approach helps the student to be attentive during the lesson and the student grasps the material faster. In my teaching experience, I've always noticed that students have questions all the time and that it's very important for the student to find his/ her instructor to be easily accessible. I am very accessible to my students. I provide them with my e-mail address, cell phone number, Skype I.D., and even facebook. I give my students the freedom to ask me a questions related to their subject matter at any time. If they are running short on time, I don't even mind doing a Skype session with them. This really helps the students to resolve the questions in their mind in a very short time. Hence, they learn their material faster. Teaching is my passion and I work round the clock to make sure that my students achieve their goal. So please feel free to contact me if you or your student want to achieve his/ her goal. Sincerely, Poro Burman
