My name is PJ and I've been a professional musician for over 10 years, but have been performing my entire life. I grew up singing in choirs and playing piano, studied at the Colburn School of Performing Arts, and picked up my first guitar at age 12.
I moved to San Diego to study Jazz Guitar at San Diego State, and quickly started making a living playing gigs around town. I play with some bands, I play corporate Jazz gigs, but my main flow is playing musical theatre shows (sometimes referred to as the "orchestra pit"). Playing in the theatre requires you to be an extremely well-rounded musician since shows come in so many different styles – sometimes going through a couple dozen in one show! Because of this, I have a knack for playing in tons and tons of styles and can teach them all.
