I have been tutoring high school to college aged students in flute technique and performance for 2 years. I specialize in teaching modern techniques and tone practice and working with students to develop their own personal styles with their instruments. I also strive to enhance my students' learning with music theory and history to help them better understand the beauty and spirit of music. I have been tutoring Music Theory and Composition Techniques for beginning composers for about a year now, and love helping my students figure out their own personal writing styles and teaching them to love Music Theory, rather than fearing it. I am currently in my fourth year at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls working toward a Bachelor of Science/Music, specializing in flute performance and music theory and composition and an art minor with good emphasis on two dimensional art and art history ranging from the middle ages to modern.
