*** Lesson Details ***
Not only am I a trained singer, I am also an actor. I understand what it is to communicate and show emotion while singing. Before you can do this, you must also learn healthy singing technique. I will help blend the two.
The first half of each lesson will be dedicated to vocal exercises with the second half to songs I recommend or from your own repertoire. My recommendations may be from a different style of music than you are accustomed to, but I will be working towards helping you sing the style you want to sing.
Every voice is different. As a teacher I want to make sure that my students understand and are comfortable with what they are feeling and hearing. While I am an easy going person, I work very hard to help students find the right path to healthy vocal production.
*** Travel Equipment ***

It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Girl Scouts founder Juliette Gordon "Daisy" Low, who believed in the power of every girl. She organized the first Girl Scout troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, and every year since, we've made her vision a reality, helping girls discover their strengths, passions, and talents.
Today we continue the Girl Scout mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
We're the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. And with programs for girls from coast to coast and across the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to do something amazing.
Very personable and unintimidating to a beginner. Easy to follow her teaching.
Phyllis is the best singing teacher I have ever had. She is completely knowledgeable about technique and personalizes each class for her students. Phyllis is so sweet, and believes that there is a singing voice inside of all of us. Since I have started taking lessons with her, my range has expanded and not only that, I have gained new knowledge about sheet music that I had never heard before. I would highly recommend choosing her as your teacher.
I think she is an amazing teacher and she is teaching me so much. I think that she is going to make me better than ever and is going to make me have a good audition ability.
ANYONE CAN SING!
Phyllis can help anyone sing and anyone who can sing she can help you become better!
My son was getting quite the ovation from the older kids for nailing all of his parts not even a week into having the script! We owe this to you for all your excellent teaching!! He has come so far with all your help!
I am 73 and joined a choir with no previous singing experience. Phyllis has been a great help teaching me to sing.
My singing lessons have been very helpful in my attempting to become a better singer. Phyllis tailors the lessons to accommodate near term needs as well as considering the long term goals. Therefore every lesson is unique to some degree. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Makes Singing Fun!
Phyllis makes learning to sing fun. I always leave lessons with a smile and look forward to working with her each week.
