Thank you for your interest in voice lessons! The singing journey is a very exciting and rewarding one! As singers, we constantly ride the fine line between technique and artistry. By allowing ourselves to be present, aware of our body and take positive risks, we provide ourselves the opportunity to grow as musicians and individuals. Students of all ages, skill levels, and abilities can learn how to achieve their goals and reach their highest potential in a positive, encouraging, informative and fun environment. Voice Lesson Information • Learning about the anatomy of the voice and how it can be used across all genres. • Developing technical mastery of the voice through vocal exercises, kinesthetic awareness, and guided imagery. • Repertoire to help the student grow technically and artistically. This includes preparation for recitals, auditions, competitions and other performances. • Music theory and ear training. Lessons may also supplement learning foundational concepts of music notation, ear training drills, and sight-singing. Piano Lesson Information • From lesson one, the student will learn the skills necessary for playing music from various genres. • We will accomplish this by working on scales, music theory, and technique. Teaching Style • Voice and Piano students will be working with music that is not only geared towards their abilities but will have fun while doing do. If you aren’t having fun, then you aren’t doing it right!
