Computer Programming

Beginner

I've been a professional programmer for over 20 years and a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, politics, and games.
I tailor my lessons to the student with a holistic approach.  I teach to the student's particular needs, don't uses pre-made videos and don't force them down a path or syllabus, but instead adapt to the needs of the student to maximize understanding and retention. 
My students learn more than just the syntax of a programming language, but how the computers, languages, and compilers work.  This behind the scenes understanding not only prepares you for writing smart, efficient code but helps you understand why language syntax is the way it is.

I love computers and programming.  I've been a professional programmer for over 20 years in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, politics, and games. I enjoy helping people and have a very patient demeanor.  I also love computers games and science fiction.  I've played a lot of Minecraft and this is often a great touchstone for teaching kids about computers and programming.
