I've been a professional musician and music teacher for nearly 30 years. I have a Bachelors and Masters degree in music and PhD in education, with an emphasis in music. I've taught students from the ages of 5 to 72. I've had a successful performing career and have played twice at Carnegie Hall and in the National Conservatory of Music in Ecuador, just to name a few venues. I have recorded music, won song-writing competitions, and have had music published. While I still actively direct music at a thriving church, my passion is in teaching others the love of music. I believe in teaching and focussing on the fundamentals of music, as it is often overlooked by many teachers. Once the basic skills are learned, musicians can apply the same skill sets to other literature. I look forward to helping you develop your talent.
