I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and teaching since 2008. Along with teaching, I've also been pursuing music recording, an endeavor which has produced two full-length albums and one that is still in progress that should be released sometime in 2018.
*** Lesson Details ***
When teaching guitar or any other instrument, I typically use a method book to guide the lessons. In addition to the lesson book, which will cover music-reading, we'll learn scales, chords and strum patterns, among other things. I try to tailor each lesson according to the student's skill level and individual musical interests.
After learning the basics, we can learn different styles of music, including rock, blues, jazz, classical, etc. I look forward to exploring these genres with you!
*** Travel Equipment ***
I bring my own instrument. I would expect my student to have or to rent his/her own instrument.
I teach in the Cumming, Georgia area at Christian Fine Arts of Forsyth.
I worked briefly for a small business that offered in-home music lessons. I drove around the greater Atlanta area teaching guitar and piano lessons in students' homes.
A Cumming-area Baptist church had a music conservatory where I taught mainly guitar lessons.
