Pete Egan is a professional pianist, composer, teacher, and multi-instrumentalist originally from New York. After completing his degree in music at New York’s prestigious SUNY Fredonia College in 2008, he made the trek to the west coast and immediately got involved in the bay area's vibrant music scene. Pete has taught piano to students of all ages and skill levels for many years and has performed a wide variety of music in places as diverse as Puerto Rico, Nassau, Mexico, and Montego Bay, Jamaica. Pete enjoys helping students learn piano, arranging, theory, and improvisation. He currently teaches music and one-on-one piano lessons at Young World in Daly City. He likes to find a good balance between discipline and fun. Jazz, pop, rock, classical, stride, blues, soul, r&b, and whatever else are all welcome.
