Over 20 years of playing experience. Education includes a Bachelor of Music in Music Business from Mansfield University, and a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Holy Family University. Studied with Phillip Covelli, Ed Flanagan and Pablo Cohen. Performance experience includes recording in various settings and styles. Over 8 years teaching experience at the Paul Green School of Rock, Bravo Academy of Performing Arts, and the Music and Arts Center, as well as private, in-home lessons. Main subject areas include technique, theory, improvisation, composition and styles of music include rock, classical, jazz, metal, blues, funk and fusion. *** Lesson Details *** Beginning students receive a thorough overview of the guitar, and using the Fast Track Guitar 1 book and CD, reading music and playing simple songs are the focus. In addition, I supplement the material with warm ups, movable scales and chords that are simple and efficient, as well as songs suggested by the student. After several months, students can play melodies and chord accompaniment, and can improvise basic solos over chord progressions. *** Travel Equipment *** I provide a Music Stand, Extra Guitar if needed, metronome, manuscript paper, handouts, etc. Student has own guitar, amp, assignment folder (I provide them with this 1st lesson), capo, and metronome/tuner. *** Specialties *** Most styles covered, specializing in rock, blues, metal, fusion, with jazz and classical background as well.
