    About Peter M.

I began taking private Suzuki violin lessons when I was 6. I participated in local youth symphonies and attended summer Suzuki Music Festivals and other music related festivals until I went to college. I began college at the University of Washington to become an engineer. I continued to take violin lessons and play in ensembles and soon realized music was what I truly wanted to do. I transferred to Central Washington University to get a performance degree. This is where I began teaching private lessons as well as coaching with the university's community outreach orchestra. After finishing my Bachelor's I attended University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed a Master's in Music. I took string pedagogy classes throughout college. I am a patient teacher. I will help my students achieve their goals in music, whether it's for personal pleasure, or the desire to one day become a concert violinist.
