Banjo with Peter M.

A musician for over 45 years, I play 5-string banjo, plectrum banjo, mandolin, hammered dulcimer and acoustic guitar, for which I have given private lessons since 1974 t the now closed Howrs Evert Guitar studio and Hamburg Music Center. In 1975, I started a banjo instruction class for the Hamburg Central Schools adult education program which was featured in the March 1980 issue of Banjo Newsletter. Since then the program has morphed into the Folk/Bluegrass Jamboree and an introductory instruction class for acoustic instruments for two school systems. Currently the leader of the Sunset Bluegrass Band and is the owner and operator of my own business. I have also written instruction manuals for playing bluegrass banjo and introduction to playing acoustic instruments.
