Teaching since:

I've been teaching and performing professionally for over 30 years. I have developed a teaching style that can accommodate any persons desire to play guitar by tailoring my approach to individual learning styles and musical goals. I am also a composer and have worked in the recording studio as session player, engineer and producer. I believe that you can learn the techniques of guitar playing best by exploring the songs and pieces that you love - all songs and all styles require essentially the same basic skills.

Peter is a great teacher! He's patient and has lots of experience teaching and mentoring students. He also has an encyclopedic knowledge of musical history (baroque, classical, romantic, and more) which he uses to find pieces that are just challenging enough to help expand my skills. Also, he has a convenient location for lessons and extra guitars for students so you don't have to lug your own around town.

Very helpful first lesson with Peter. I plan to repeat. He gave me literally years of material for thought and practice in an hour.
