    About Peter E.

I have been teaching private lessons for over 30 years. I work with students on the mechanics of trumpet playing which lead to the ability to execute solid fundamentals consistently. This allows my students to function in a variety of musical settings with a secure foundation. Any player can improve if they apply a well-considered approach to material appropriate for their current level of development. My strength as a teacher (and player) lies in my versatility, patience, and persistence (as well as my sense of humor and ability to connect with students and players as human beings). Ear training and music theory are taught as an integrated support for trumpet performance. Audition preparation rests on the work that has occurred during lessons which is supported by consistent, daily practice.
