Prior to move to the United States, I taught at AMVP Musical Academy (Portugal) where I also got my conservatory degree in Guitar performance. Relying on a fundamental classic technique I can guide you through every musical genre that you wish to approach and enlighten you with the best musical foundation that there is. Whether you want to learn a specific song/repertoire or you want me to guide you trough the keystones of this instrument I will always lookout for your personal satisfaction and development in the process. I'm a recorded artist with two albums as a member of the AMVP Guitar Orchestra: Contrastes (2003) and Plaisir (2005) and appeared at prestigious venues in Portugal, Saint Peterburg (Russia), Paris (France) and Frankfurt (Germany). SINGING: My voice studio teaches singers from beginner to advanced levels who are eager to properly use their own voice, master the fundamental notions of a healthy singing technique and how to potentiate themselves as individual artists. If you're preparing for an audition or are just curious about what you can do with your voice, I'll be glad to help you. The process that allowed me to become a professional Opera singer gave me the clear notion that as a student you want to have the balance between clear and accurate concepts and a positive experience. Because singing was always a passion in my life I also pursued my advanced studies in Classical Voice, and as a result I graduated from Aveiro University (Portugal) in Music and Vocal Performance. My goal as a voice teacher is to help you understand the basic fundamentals of a healthy singing voice: breathing technique, clarity of tone, balance between natural resonators and clear diction - regardless of what genre you're singing. I can also assist you in the proper diction of the romantic languages (Italian, Spanish, French and Portuguese). After completing my studies in Portugal, I moved to Boston where I developed a relationship with the VOICExperience Foundation and the Savannah Voice Festival led by the great Opera legend Sherrill Milnes. While in the United States, I have performed in musical concerts, opera and musical scenes, private performances and outreach events in Savannah, Georgia, New York City, Tampa Bay, Florida and Hilton Head, South Carolina. In Savannah I've been working regularly - throughout a series of Masterclasses - with a group of teenagers from Bethesda Academy introducing them to the Opera world and showing how to use their own voice and body as a way to fully express themselves.
