I have been taking piano lessons from Paula for close to 10 years, and it has been great experience. I have learned to play a variety of music from rock to classical. Some qualities I like about Paula is that she is patient, and she will challenge and encourage you. We have played various venues in Knoxville, but my favorite is the Fantasy of Trees. It is a great way to support Children's Hospital. Young or old, I highly recommend Paula for anyone wanting to learn piano.

Upon re-locating to the area, we were referred to Paula Johnson for our daughter's continuing lessons. We were fortunate to have four years with Paula before our daughter left for college. During that time, our daughter was challenged in all genre's of music and excelled under Paula's excellent tutelage. Her instruction in theory and practical application instilled skills in our daughter that she has taken with her into her adult life and will enjoy in the future.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Paula for over 4 years, she started when she was just 9 and knew next to nothing about music. Paula is great teacher, very patient and has provided lots of different music options (Disney movie theme songs, Classical, Jazz and Christmas classics) which has helped to keep my daughter interested in continuing to play.
