I have been teaching guitar, bass guitar, and banjo for 24 years. I offer in home lessons as well as in my home lessons where we meet face to face or via Skype online. I have an associate’s degree in classical guitar performance from Essex Community College as well as certification in education. I have continued studies on the classical guitar from Towson University. Beyond teaching I have worked extensively in performance and song writing. I perform regularly through Maryland and the D.C and Virginia areas. My goal as a teacher is to communicate with my students and find out their motivation to learn. Whether it is to sit around the campfire with friends and strum your favorite tune or play like the great masters of the classical guitar. I am capable of playing all styles from jazz and blues to rock and metal and everything in between. Beyond that, I am dedicated to making sure you just don’t understand how to play but to make sure you are having fun doing it! *** Lesson Details *** Lessons are available in 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute sessions. I offer lessons in your home or in my home located in Towson Md. I also offer lessons via Skype online. *** Studio Equipment *** Amplifiers are available for students who meet me at my home for lessons. *** Specialties *** I specialize in stylistic guitar playing. Through years of training I have been able to master all styles of playing at all levels. I have also developed proven techniques for working with young learners and have had success with students as young as 6 years old.
