Paul M is an American born, New York-based pianist, music instructor, piano teacher, composer and vocal coach. As an educator, Paul is part of The Suffolk Piano Teachers Forum, College Music Society and Music Teachers National. He has been an Adjunct-instructor at New York University (NYU). Paul also conducts master classes and seminars in The United states and South America. For the past few years, he has implemented classes in composition and music history in the coastal area of Ecuador and New York. His music studio in New York City is in high demand. He works with piano, composition and vocal performance students of all levels and styles which includes classical, jazz, blues and Broadway. Paul also works with all different types of students such as those who want to learn for personal enjoyment of for professional reasons. He prepares his students for competitions, audition preparation and professional concerts. Each year his students have the opportunity to perform at the world-renowned Steinway Hall in New York City. This yearly student recital gives students the opportunity to perform in one of New York City’s most sought after recital Halls located in midtown Manhattan. As a pianist he has won numerous awards and scholarships. For two consecutive years, he received The Suffolk County Piano Teachers Forum Prize. Paul has played numerous recitals at prestigious halls such as Steinway Hall in New York City, Faust Harrison Hall and The Staller Center. Paul has always been active in Chamber Music and has played with The Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra and The New York University Symphony Orchestra. He has studied with well-known piano teachers including: Martin Canin, Morey Ritt, Tina Dahl, and Anita Gelber. He received his Bachelors of Music from Stony Brook University and his Master’s Degree in Piano Performance at New York University, studying with Martin Canin. As a composer, Paul's music has been highly reviewed and is heard through the world in concerts and films. His composition teachers include Max Duykers and Justin Dello Joio. This year, he will be releasing a new C.D. that will include his most recent works for solo piano. The C.D. was performed and written by Paul M. and engineered in Nashville Tennessee at RedRed studios by critically acclaimed recording engineer Joshua Silverberg. The C.D. is set to release on Amazon, iTunes and bookstores in November 2011.
