Hi, I'm Dr. Paul L, an experienced performer and educator based in Boise, ID. As a passionate teacher with over a decade of experience, I strive to create authentic learning experiences for students of all skill levels. In my teaching, I use a variety of methods and techniques tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. Whether you're a beginner learning the fundamentals of an instrument or an advanced undergraduate auditioning for graduate programs, I'm committed to helping you achieve your full potential. I'm proud of my accomplishments as a teacher and have helped many students win awards, auditions, and overcome various obstacles in their musical journey. As a performer, I have a diverse range of experience. I was a tenured member of the Washington-Idaho Symphony on bass trombone for five years and have played with various other ensembles. I've performed with many renowned musicians, including Wayne Bergeron and Andy Martin, and have been featured with the Salt River Brass and Brass Band of the Treasure Valley. I'm currently in my second season performing with Opera Idaho and the Brass Band of the Treasure Valley. Learning music can have many benefits beyond simply mastering an instrument, including building confidence, developing discipline, and fostering creativity. I'm passionate about helping students discover these benefits and become lifelong musicians. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your musical goals!
