Patrick has been playing guitar for 8 years. His love for music covers all genres, from the twang of a good country song, to the pulsing bass of a flowing hip-hop song. Patrick's first love was in fast paced Celtic finger picking. After teaching himself for four years, Patrick was taken under the wings of Master Musician Derek Ferwerda (http://www.perimeter.org/pages/children-students/academy-of-the-arts-2/music/pages/guitar-bass-drums/), and the "Kapo Guy" Randall Williams (www.whereisrandall.com) of Kyser Music. His goal as a teacher is to show his students that music is more than just sounds produced in a strategic order, but more a language that can tap into ones inner most emotions and pull them to the surface, allowing them to express what they can't with spoken word. For himself, Patrick brings the utmost passion to every aspect of music. Lessons are focused on turning away from the mechanics of the instrument. Not rushing to learn the whole song quick so you can move onto the next, but to feel each note you play to the core. *** Lesson Details *** My lessons are laid back but still goal oriented. I strive to tailor lessons to the personal learning styles and musical preferences of my students. If the student wants to be the next solo-guitar shredder, finger-picking virtuoso, or introspective songwriter, I want to give him/her the tools needed to succeed.
