Master's of Music in Classical Performance - Double Bass

Learn the bass from a musician with 10+ years experience as a professional bassist in New York City!

Hello! I'm a passionate upright and electric bassist with a professional career that has seen me play more than 30 concerts at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, perform in more than 20 countries worldwide, play more than 100 performances of Les Miserables on Broadway, and record on more than 40 records. With my band Latinx LADAMA, I have given performances and talks at the 2018 TED Conference, TEDX Charlottesville, TED en Español, NPR's Tiny Desk Concert Series, and festivals and venues on three continents. As an orchestral bassist I have played both in the section and principal with the American Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra, American Composers Orchestra, and many others throughout New York City. On Broadway I have subbed on numerous shows playing both electric and double bass. This is the breadth of experience and excitement that I bring to my students. I'm comfortable teaching in almost any style from a beginner to an advanced level on both double and electric bass. If there is one thing I've learned from my life as a bassist, it's that music is a truly joyous experience. I hope to impart that joy to all of my students! I hold a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Classical Performance - Double Bass from New York University. I'm looking forward to working with you!
