Piano with Pat B.

I first started to play the piano when I was 3 years old. My parents saw that I was really having fun with it so they bought and old out of tune piano for me to mess around on to see if I would get serious with it or not. They watched me listen to a piece of music, and play it on the piano within 15 minutes so the decided they would put me in some lessons when I had a higher attention span ;). I started taking lessons when I was 7 years old and just took off from there. I started learning songs like it was nothing and I had a blast doing it. I stopped taking lessons when I got to high school because my schedule didn't allow for it so I decided to start composing music instead. Playing the piano has been a gift and since then, I've picked up playing guitar, drums, trombone, euphonium, trumpet, and all the other percussion instruments that mimic a pianos general layout. As you can tell, I am very passionate about what I do and I do not take a single talent for granted. As a professional musician now, I enjoy both playing and teaching. Playing gives me a chance to give the world a little piece of what I have to offer. And teaching give me such great joy in passing on the gift of music. I absolutely love when I am teaching clients and the ideas start running in their head and I can help them apply what they are eagerly trying to play. It really is one of the most rewarding moments when I can look back at my past students and see what an impact music has on their lives.
