Classical Piano with Pamela S.

For over 35 years, Pamela has been a music teacher K-8, band teacher, piano teacher (1st grade through adult), keyboardist (praise band), trumpet player, and 1st/2nd grade teacher. With her educational background, Pamela instructs students in a manner easily understood and exciting. Her students are also introduced to a wide variety of music styles (popular, rock, classical, country, folk, etc.) To keep students' interest levels high, students begin playing familiar tunes quickly. The Faber Piano Series allows students to move forward according to the student's individual pace and provides an organized, solid understanding of piano instruction and music theory. Each week, students may choose to practice along with Faber digital music from their computers at home. Lessons are filled with fun music from all genres. As students progress, they choose favorite songs to add to their lessons. When ready, they begin to learn how to write their own bass lines and compose melodies. As a teacher, Pamela knows how important positive reinforcement is to the learning process. She rewards her students verbally and offers small incentives to keep her students' interest levels high. She also asks that family members encourage piano students in their home environments. Pamela's students find enjoyment playing piano at home, for friends, at school, in a band, concerts, or recitals. Piano skills also make learning additional instruments much easier.
