English (ESL) with Palmer G.

I am presently working a few hours in two professional ESL programs. I am presently teaching classes at Hunter College in the IELI program. I am also teaching classes at LaGuardia Community College in their ESL program. I have been teaching ESL for more than twenty years now. I have gotten much experience teaching all levels and all skills. At Hunter I have been teaching a wide variety of academic writing classes. I am proficient with computers and the Internet and have no problems integrating the teaching of ESL with computer technology. At Hunter we take the writing class to a computer lab once a week. I am also proficient at using Blackboard for online teaching. I have taught the low levels and true beginners and the high advanced levels. I have taught TOEFL prep classes and Business English classes. I have taught all the different skills such as reading, writing, and oral pronunciation. I have the most experience with integrated classes where several skills are combined into one class such as a grammar/writing class. I have had extensive experience developing curriculum's and class materials. I also have had a lot of experience selecting class textbooks and designing and performing assessment tests to determine the needs of various types of students.
