I have been tutoring for about 10 - 12 years, since high school. I started with elementary reading and math and then moved into English, writing, reading, math, and history. I then professionally tutored to put myself through college. There I got nationally certified as a tutored and I specialize in English, Writing, and Language Arts. I served for a couple years as a teaching assistant as well. After I graduated, I went overseas to Kenya and taught math and English there as well. Now that I am back in the states, I have been tutoring a couple of students in English, Reading, and Math. My approach is to help the student create habits that they can sustain to be successful and find what works for them. I am here to supplement the concepts that are already being taught, and in some cases, pick up objectives that teachers have neglected to teach. I do more than just teach, I help students study, take tests, and understand how to navigate through school and classes, amidst of the many distractions - because honestly, that's one of the biggest factors.
