Hi! My name is Owen Williams, I grew up in Los Angeles and have been playing and studying music for about 15 years. I love teaching because I remember what it was like when I had a teacher and how much fun I had in my lessons outside of school. The neighborhood I grew up in had a local conservatory started by Flea (RHCP) called the Silver Lake Conservatory of Music where I took lessons from when I was 10 till I was 16. I love a lot of different kinds of music, I've gone through many music phases in my life from the Funk and R&B (Sly Stone, Parliament, Curtis Mayfield, Rick James, from Beyonce to Ray Charles and Louis Jordan). I grew up on The Beatles Yellow Submarine (and the other albums too but that movie was first), Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin. I love Hip Hop from Kurtis Blow and Slick Rick in the 80s to artists today like Anderson .Paak and Kendrick Lamar and everything in between.
